Why Macklemore is more Hip Hop than 2 Chainz

I like this

Who would you say is more Hip Hop?

This guy….

or this guy…

Well, if you judged them off their music and video, as it relates to Originality, Concept and Skill. There is really no comparison. One has music acceptable to a normal True School Hiphoppa. The others skill level and concept make a True Hiphoppa cringe.

2 chainz

Keepin it real for real, 2 Chainz shit is whack from front to back. The skill level, the concept and delivery is barely tolerable. His style is an embarrassment to  True School hip-hop music. Some people enjoy it, still I’m not a fan.

Macklemore on the other hand, made a catchy little tune, that’s fun to listen to. The simplistic comedy is displayed with lyrical skill and the concept is completely original. In an era of money-lusting rappers, Macklemore rhymes about saving his ends, buying clothes at the Thrift Shop and feeling “Fucking Awesome.”

Incidentally, Macklemore’s video on YouTube had over 97,000,000 hits at the time of this post.
