I once asked Steven Stills, what’s the best advice he could give fledgling musicians? He said, “Don’t quit your day job.” Wise words back in the day. However, given that the current “tech revolution” has put career control and unlimited income possibilities directly in the hands of Artists & Treps, I think today’s mantra is just the opposite: “Quit your day job ASAP!”
Better said: Quit what ever time-robbing, energy sucking, myrmecophilous activities that hold you back from doing your best work, expressing your unique talent and selflessly contributing your art. So you can finally get on with the business of manifesting your crazy genius ideas and fulfilling your destiny.
“Myrmecophilous:” 1. Living symbolically with ants. 2. Relying on or requiring a person or thing for support.
