Boston Marathon Bombing

Runners continue to run towards the finish line as an explosion erupts at the finish line of the Boston Marathon

At the running of the Boston marathon on Monday April 15, two explosive devices were detonated killing 3 people including an 8 year old boy and injuring over 100. The explosions were caught on tape as they sent debris and smoke into the air,  near the finish line. The explosions occurred within seconds of each other on what is considered a state holiday celebrating Patriot’s Day, the commemoration of Paul Revere’s ride before the Revolutionary War. Though no one has claimed responsibility for the attack, government officials have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
